Seven suppressives turned up outside the "Ideal Morgue" in Queen Victoria Street. For a change there was not a bus parked outside, so we could see that there was some kind of event taking place, with about 25 people (mostly staff; nearly all well known to us) going in and out. Another change - there was more passing tourist traffic, with several discussing Scientology with us.

At Tottenham Court Road, there were only two staff, busily erecting a barrier of books to hide behind. Two people entered the shop; neither bought anything. Our numbers reached 15-20. The threatened rain eventually arrived and we retreated to a nearby hostelry.
