Edgbaston
Birmingham B5 7QU. More a massive stadium than a traditional cricket ground.Once famous for the now superseded 'Brumbrella', a motorised cover which however was not used in the notorious Benson and Hedges quarter-final in 1994
against Kent as the Warwickshire groundstaff wanted to air the ground to combat fungus. Hence the match was reduced to an indoor
single-stump bowl-out which proved to be not exactly Nigel Llong's forte (He subsequently took up umpiring).
Edgbaston Road, Birmingham B5 7QU. Two miles due south from
Birmingham New Street station.
